4 Ways to Use Your Pride Flag for Halloween
Pride Palace community, Halloween is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Dressing up is a big part of the holiday, but picking out a costume can often be stressful, expensive, and time consuming. With that in mind, Pride Palace wanted to give you some easy but creative ideas on how you can dress up using your amazing pride flags. No need to buy an elaborate, expensive costume online when you can create your own prideful look! Here are 4 ways to use your pride flag for Halloween:
1) Be a pride superhero!
Everyone in the LGBTQ+ community is a hero in some way. Amid all the violence, hatred, and inequality in the world, it’s important to remember how strong you are. What better way to celebrate your strength and courage than with a beautiful pride flag tied around your neck like the superhero that you are?
Like that flag? Make sure to check it out!
2) Be a rainbow!
If you have the traditional LGBTQ+ pride flag, you can turn your Halloween costume into a rainbow. Remember, how creative the look is is up to you. You can paint your face, wear colored pants and shoes, accessorize, and take it to the next level. Bring light into people’s lives with your rainbow LGBTQ+ pride flag costume!
Don’t have the traditional LGBTQ+ pride flag? It’s never too late! Check it out below!
LGBTQ+ Flag
The LGBTQ+ pride flag is a symbol of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and more (+) (LGBTQ+) pride and social movements. If you identify as a member or ally to the community, this flag allows you to portray your support for the community and be proud to be you!

3) Be a prideful chef!
If you love cooking almost as much as you love being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, this one’s for you. Why not wear your flag as an apron? You can wear a simple outfit under the flag if you would like, or even accessorize it with a chef’s hat. It’s not often you see a prideful chef during Halloween, but we can change that!
4) Have more than one flag? Be CAPTAIN PRIDE!
This idea is like the pride superhero look, except it is even more amazing. Rather than just tying one flag around your neck to be a superhero, utilize your other flag(s) to create a pride outfit. This can be a flag tied around your chest like a tube top or around your waist like a skirt. The options are endless. The more flags you have, the more captain pride you will be!
And a Surprise…
5) Dress up as an identity crisis!
Pride Palace would like to remind you that you don’t always have to have it all figured out. Many people know they are part of the LGBTQ+ community, but don’t know how they fit in just yet - and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don’t know what you identify with? That’s okay! Don’t have a pride flag? That’s okay too! If you would still like to rep your pride during Halloween but don’t know your identity yet, Pride Palace has your back! Here are some of our flags that don’t necessarily tie you to an identity:

A non-binary person is someone who does not identify as exclusively a man or a woman. In really simple terms, someone who is non-binary might feel like a mix of genders, or like they have no gender at all.
